2. Shipping Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Aluminox Canada ships products throughout Canada. Certain oversized products, heavy orders, long materials, or remote destinations may require special shipping arrangements, freight service, or customer pickup.
Estimated Preparation and Fabrication Times
Our typical estimated lead times are:
Standard and cut-to-size metal products: approximately 3 to 9 business days, unless otherwise stated on the product page.
Raw steel drain covers: approximately 2 to 3 weeks.
Galvanized or anti-rust treated drain covers: approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
Aluminum or stainless steel drain covers: approximately 2 to 3 weeks.
Lead times begin once payment has been received and all measurements, specifications, and information required to process the order have been provided.
Lead Times Are Estimates
All preparation, fabrication, galvanizing, and delivery times shown on our website are estimates only and are not guaranteed dates.
Lead times may change because of factors including:
- material availability;
- supplier delays;
- production schedules;
- galvanizing schedules;
- order volume;
- carrier delays;
- weather;
- destination;
- oversized freight requirements;
- circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If a significant delay occurs and you no longer wish to wait, please contact us. We will work with you to find a reasonable solution, which may include cancellation and refund where appropriate or where required by law.
Transit Time
Shipping transit time begins after the order has been completed and shipped.
Transit time is separate from preparation or fabrication time.
Carrier delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may vary depending on destination, weather, service interruptions, freight requirements, and other circumstances.
When tracking is available, the tracking information will be provided after shipment.
Long, Heavy, or Oversized Products
Long products, heavy orders, large plates, and certain custom items may require specialized shipping, LTL freight, or customer pickup.
If the shipping method selected or calculated at checkout cannot reasonably be used for the order, we will contact the customer before shipment to discuss available options.
No additional shipping charge will be added without the customer's agreement.
If no reasonable shipping solution is available, the customer and Aluminox Canada may agree to cancel the order and issue a refund.
Remote Areas
Certain remote, northern, or difficult-to-service areas may require additional arrangements or may not be serviceable using our regular carriers.
We will contact the customer if an order cannot be shipped under the original shipping conditions.
Shipping Address
The customer is responsible for verifying the shipping address before confirming an order.
Additional carrier charges resulting from an incorrect address, refused delivery, or unsuccessful delivery caused by incorrect information supplied by the customer may be charged to the customer, subject to applicable law.
Lost or Damaged Shipments
If your shipment appears to be lost or arrives damaged, please contact us promptly.
Aluminox Canada will work with the carrier to investigate and resolve the situation.
For visible damage, please provide photos ideally within 48 hours of delivery.
